Ingredients:
1 pie crust
1 cup heavy cream, half-and-half, or milk
2 eggs
2 pinches salt
Nutmeg
Your choice of two or three of any the following fillings:
- Cooked spinach
- Bacon
- Sauteed leeks
- Cooked spinach
- Artichoke hearts
- Cooked Chicken
- Cooked cubed ham
- Mushrooms
- Cheese
- Blanched asparagus
- Smoked salmon
- Whisk together thoroughly the milk and eggs in a metal bowl.
- Mix in salt and nutmeg.
- Heat oven to 350.
- Put fillings in crust loosely and evenly.
- Pour egg mixture over filling (DON'T OVERFILL)
- Bake until firm like Jell-O (about 45 minutes).
- Cool 15 minutes before serving.
