Hawaiian Spareribs

Ingredients:

3 lbs spare ribs (smaller amount of pork loin can be substituted for spareribs)
1 8-oz can crushed pineapple
3 T brown sugar
2 T corn starch
1 T soy sauce
1 8-oz can tomato sauce
1/4 c. vinegar
1 onion cut in strips
Sweet pepper

Directions:
  • Season meat.
  • In saucepan over medium heat cook pineapple, brown sugar, corn starch, soy sauce, tomato sauce, and vinegar.
  • Layer ribs, onions, and peppers in a 9x13 pan.
  • Pour sauce over the top and bake at 350F, uncovered, for 2 hours.
  • Serve over rice.
