Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Ingredients:

1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
6 T. milk
1 ½ T. melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
1 cup brown sugar
4 T cocoa

Directions:
  • In a medium bowl sift together flour, baking powder and salt
  • Stir in milk, melted butter, vanilla and nuts (optional)
  • Spread mixture into the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish (or a pie pan works too, but barely)
  • In a separate bowl mix together brown sugar and cocoa
  • Sprinkle sugar mixture over batter in baking dish
  • Pour 1 cup of hot water over everything
  • Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes
  • Serve topped with ice cream while cake is warm
